Our Program

Grace House is a long term, residential women’s recovery home, established in 2009. With a family style approach, the home is able to serve up to 6 women at a time. Because the Grace House program is a holistic healing process, we ask women to commit to at least 1 year in the house. This process consists of four general phases, individualized to each woman in the home.

Phase 1 → Introductory phase:  During this time the women are primarily in the role of receiving care and love from the staff and other women within the home.  Trust with God and staff is being established during this time.

Phase 2 → Heart work begins: Women work through the wounds of their past through counseling and individualized curriculum. Life skills are re-learned and applied, including daily chores, cooking etc.

Phase 3 → Preparing for the future: Job readiness begins with personal discovery thorough volunteering & further education. Part-time work and financial management are implemented.

Phase 4 → Transition:  While in the transition apartment, women begin fulfilling their goals through practicing healthy boundaries and accountability as they live and work in community.

The treatment and recovery services at Grace House are exclusively faith-based in nature and are not subject to licensure or regulation by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. This program offers only non-medical treatment and recovery methods, such as prayer, moral guidance, spiritual counseling, and scriptural study.
